| Brennan Manning's quote I used last week in my sermon:
It is always true to some extent
that we make our images of God. It is even truer that our image of God makes
us. Eventually we become like the God we imagine. One of the most beautiful
fruits of knowing the God of Jesus is a compassionate attitude towards
ourselves… This is why scripture attaches such importance to knowing God.
Healing our image of God heals our image of ourselves.
Beautifully put, now we need to see this beautiful image.

| Driving Jeemin back home tonight from playing ball. We were on 91 south when all of a sudden a car started to tailgate me. Then I saw the worst thing the car began to flash red and blue lights. I thought how fast am I going? My dash board lights don't work so I don't know how fast I am driving. I pull over and the cop comes to my window and says, "State police, give me your license and registration. I can't afford a ticket. He informs me that my back tail light is out and I give him the surprised act, but I knew that light was out but got lazy. Any way I couldn't find my registration. I fumbling around and he askes where I'm headed. I inform him I am dropping off Jeemin to Long Meadow then going to Vernon, ct. He askes if I've ever been pulled over in Mass. I say no. Honestly I don't recall if I've ever been pulled over in this crappy state. Any way, he shouts get it fixed, meaning my tail light. I'm like of course I'll fix it. But I'm still looking for my registration. He shouts louder get it fixed and I'm like whats your problem. But then I looked at him and he is handing me back my license and not giving me a ticket. So praise God no ticket. I will change the light in the morning.
